Profile

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to North Carolina to study theater and movement, Seattle to study photography and yoga, and Oregon to study literature and film. Somehow these diverse interests came together and informed my dissertation, which focused on class politics in modernist short stories and short films. I am currently working on an article examining social hierarchies and modernist techniques in Charlie Chaplin’s late short films (Literature and History, Spring 2012).
