Fresh Writing
Fresh Writing is an online journal of exemplary essays written by first-year students at the University of Notre Dame.
The publication is a cornerstone of the University Writing Program and its pedagogical philosophy, serving as a model for students enrolled in first-year Writing & Rhetoric courses or other first-year courses that are writing intensive. Essays are chosen for their engaging prose and successful use of writing genres students may encounter in academic, civic, or professional contexts.
Fresh Writing also functions as an archive to showcase student-produced work. Some essays have gone on to be republished in anthologies and elsewhere.
