Nidhi Surendranath is a second-year Ph.D. student and Presidential Fellow at the University of Notre Dame. She is interested in the role of the lyric in twentieth and twenty-first century poetry, with special focus on how Modernist and Postmodern writers understand subjectivity. Her current work considers elegiac poetry by contemporary women.
