Cree Taylor

Cree is a wife, mother of five, feminist, and teacher who loves working with and mentoring undergraduate students. Her classroom is informed by social constructivism, critical race theory, feminism, Black Feminist Thought, and Pedagogies of Care. She works to establish her classroom as a brave space where students feel empowered to share their own perspectives and have those perspectives challenged in respectful and meaningful ways. Her favorite part about working with students is collaborating with them to share and discover new knowledge and ideas while seeking out informed answers to pressing questions.

 

Her research interests include: belonging and inclusion in higher education, critical pedagogies, inclusive pedagogies, information literacy, student writing efficacy, and writing as metacognitive and ideological discovery.
