Profile

Dr. Ian Gerdon has a Ph.D. in Theology and specializes in Maximus the Confessor and Evagrius of Pontus. Other areas of interest include ancient and Byzantine monastic theology, ancient and Byzantine Christology, theology of icons, and theology of grace. He has taught both Foundations of Theology and Writing and Rhetoric, for which he received the Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher Award.
