Profile

Kristen is a 1st year Ph.D. student interested in 20th and 21st Century Irish Drama. Her current research focuses on staging the ghost, exploring the ways that the figure of a ghost allows a play to excavate and engage with the trauma of its characters. She has been examining the question “how does a ghost on stage work differently than a ghost on a page?”, putting Irish Drama in conversation with contemporary Irish novels. She is interested in the work of Marina Carr, Conor McPherson, and Owen McCafferty, among many others.
