Carter (PRE-DOC)

Hello, my name is Carter, and I’m a predoc in the University Writing Program here at Notre Dame. I’ll be working as the Assistant Director of the Writing Center this year!

I studied English and Philosophy at the University of New Mexico, and spent my junior year studying abroad at Trinity College Dublin. My undergraduate research explored the intersections between Irish modernism, spatial and symbolic poetics, and literary histories of international trade.

When I’m not working in the Writing Center, I like to read long books about Ireland, go to dinner parties with my friends, and fix up old bicycles. If you see me around ND but away from the front desk at CoMo, it’ll probably be deep in the shelves of Hesburgh, enjoying some peace and quiet by one of the lakes, or watching the Fighting Irish beat whoever they’re playing by a million. I’m so excited to work with you all!
